A few months back FCC gave green signal to the 6Ghz band to be used for Wi-Fi network. This was named as Wi-Fi 6E. Now, the leading chipmaker Qualcomm has introduced its two new modems that support Wi-Fi 6E. The modems will be used in smartphones, and names are FastConnect 6900 and FastConnect 6700.
About The New modems
The new Wi-Fi 6E will be more powerful as it can utilize 1,20MHz spectrum. This particular spectrum is fresh, and there are no devices developed for this. Only these two new modems from Qualcomm will be the first modem to use the new spectrum.
Well, don’t think that the new modems will not support the 5GHz. The Qualcomm 6900 comes with 4-stream DBS- Dual Band Simulation features. The unique thing about this feature is it can properly combine a 2×2 5GHz and a 2×2 6GHz connection.
This, in turn, will let the users to witness 3.6 Gbps of internet speed. Sounds just terrific! However, the Qualcomm 6700 doesn’t have this feature, but it can also offer faster connectivity, i.e.,2.9Gbps of internet speed.
The new modems combine with Bluetooth 5.2 technology will offer much lower latency on devices. For example, Sub-3 ms. Both the modems feature DBA- Dual Bluetooth Antenna to offer amazing speed and better reliability.
About The New Bluetooth
The new Bluetooth 5.2 is designed to offer LE Audio experience, for example, broadcast audio as well as multi-point audio. And it will do that by combining multiple audio connections.
Bluetooth 5.2 has aptX Adaptive, which can take the Bluetooth audio to around 96kHz. That means you can enjoy the same audio quality that you generally get from the wired headphones. Furthermore, with aptX Voice feature, it will offer bandwidth of 32 kHz. If you look at the bandwidth of the current voice, it is 16 kHz.
